Julie Gilchrist CDRC Staff 2011

Ladies – here is your chance to learn from very accomplished6280_1144396062478_1604816288_367131_5006778_n.jpg.scaled500  women’s masters marathoner who happens to be a mom, wife, taxi driver and cheerleader!  Julie likes to run and run fast!  Her PR for the marathon is 3:03 which she ran in Spokane  a few years ago. She likes to run any distance – 5k to marathon and recently completed the Eugene Marathon in May.  A frequent participant in area races – she is passionate about her training and racing.

Julie will be joining the Continental Divide Running Clinic 2011 Staff and will have two formal presentations; For Women Only – a session dedicated solely to women’s running (sorry guys – find something else to do), and a second presentation – Going Longer Half and Full Marathon Training for all CDRC participants.  She will be available informally in between sessions.

I first met Julie on a marathon bus trip to the n628073821_1448624_52721.jpg.scaled1000Midwest traveling with a large group of Montana High School cross country runners heading to the USATF National Cross Country meet in Lawrence, Kansas.  Married to husband Greg, two children; Paige and Allen.  Her drive is contagious – CDRC participants forewarned!

Next up – an inside look at the site of the CDRC 2011 location – The Homestake Lodge, Butte, Montana.  Until then – enjoy the run!
